About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is currently looking for a talented and dynamic Lead Host who shares our passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do! This role involves greeting guests, coordinating special events and large groups, managing guest communications, updating website and menus, responding to guest feedback, and leading the host team. The ideal candidate will have a confident, outgoing personality, a can-do approach, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Smart Serve certification and at least 2 years of previous Host experience in a fast-paced food and beverage operation are required. A Post Secondary Education in Hospitality or a related field is also preferred.

Requirements

• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English
• Able to stand for the majority of the shift
• Confident, outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Smart Serve certification
• At minimum 2 years previous Host experience in a fast paced food and beverage operation
• Completion of Post Secondary Education in Hospitality or related field

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact and a smile
• Coordination of all special events and large groups within d|bar
• Guest liaison, booking, menu coordination, and ensuring proper staff communication
• Responsible for updating the website and menus to reflect new items and events
• Managing and responding to guest comments, reviews and feedback in collaboration with management team
• Leading the team of hosts, training and maintaining service standards
