About The Position

At Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler, our service team plays a vital role in creating thoughtful, memorable guest experiences. As a Full-Time Permanent Lead Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests dining at Sidecut Restaurant and Braidwood Tavern, setting the tone for an exceptional experience. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality service and is eager to grow their skills within a luxury hospitality environment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year in a host/hostess role.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in reservation systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Enjoys being a coach and mentor for others
• Valid work authorization for Canada

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor, and supervise hostess team members
• Create and manage hostess schedules to ensure adequate coverage
• Open the Sidecut restaurant at designated start times and prepare for service
• Oversee reservation systems, including OpenTable, ensuring accurate booking information
• Assign guest seating while maintaining service standards and balancing server workloads
• Coordinate with servers regarding sections, timing, and capacity
• Manage reservations via phone and online platforms
• Welcome guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables and servers
• Perform administrative duties during non-peak times
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and respectful team environment
• Uphold Four Seasons’ standards of service, creativity, and authentic guest experiences
