Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Lead Hand will be responsible for ensuring production team is actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule. The Production Lead hand provides effective training to all new and existing employees and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years manufacturing related experience
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
  • Fluency in English both oral and written

Responsibilities

  • Work with Production Supervisor to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and production schedule are met.
  • Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that production procedures are followed and meet all GMP and safety requirements.
  • Arrange for and train temporary and permanent staff in performance of tasks for efficient line operations
  • Report all quality, production and equipment issues Production Team Leader, maintenance and Production Manager in a timely manner.
  • Be responsible for efficient, high quality operation of assigned production lines
  • Assist Production Team Leader to ensure production targets are achieved, including monitoring staffing, waste, productivity
  • Ensure efficient and effective line change-overs
