Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
  • Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications, SAP a plus.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Are highly organized with ability to prioritize and pay attention to the details.
  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
  • Ability to coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.

Responsibilities

  • Assist supervisors and managers with leading shipping/receiving team and coordinating all warehouse activities.
  • Partner closely with the management team to ensure warehouse activities are effectively scheduled and executed.
  • Fill in any position in the warehouse, as operationally needed; including clerical, coordinator and supervisory staff.
  • Cover breaks/vacations for warehouse personnel, as needed.
  • Perform product inventory activities, confirming physical inventory quantity and location, reporting variances.
  • Train new and current employees, actively communicating procedures and workflow. Document training progression to include training gaps and opportunities.
  • Recommend improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department while achieving the targeted goals.
  • Perform all required SAP transactions, complete all required documentation.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintain time and shipping records as required. Prepare required reports.
  • Ensure the warehouse work areas are clean and always organized.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and provide cross-functional support throughout the warehouse to minimize warehouse operations disruption.
  • Manage staging and loading tasks.
  • Manage outbound orders including stock transport orders (STO) between sites.
  • Manage goods receipt product put away activities.
  • Complete shift handoff.
  • Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
