About The Position
OZZ Electric BC is an industry leading contractor working on exciting high-rise residential and commercial projects across the lower mainland. You will join our growing team as a key member on the tools, both mentoring apprentices and assisting foremen, in order to help build state-of-the-art projects for our clients. We are looking for lead hands on Vancouver Island!
Requirements
- Journeyperson Electrician ticket required (Red Seal)
- Experience working on high rise and/or commercial new construction projects
- Good knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and local requirements
- Excellent communication, computer skills, and time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Field Safety Representative ticket is an asset
Responsibilities
- Installing electrical equipment based on blueprints and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code specifications
- Observing functions of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
- Overseeing and mentoring apprentices and Journeypersons in the field
- Drawing review and updates
- Safety Documentation creation and management (hazard assessments, toolbox talks, incident investigations, near miss reporting, injury management in partnership with CSO)
