About The Position

ACE Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Group Facilitator to lead therapeutic and support groups for youth in our Day Treatment program. The facilitator will create a safe, structured environment where participants can share experiences, build coping skills, and support one another while working toward improved emotional and behavioral health. The Youth Day Treatment Group Facilitator will assist in developing, planning, and facilitating group programming that supports the success of the Day Treatment program. This role includes helping design outreach initiatives, maintaining knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Day Treatment services, and ensuring program activities remain compliant with those standards. The facilitator is responsible for monitoring group participation, supporting positive group dynamics, and maintaining the overall structure and effectiveness of each session.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • Valid Ohio license: LPC, LPCC, LSW, or LISW (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of mental health counseling experience preferred
  • Experience with group facilitation and behavioral interventions preferred

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, develop, and implement program goals aligned with organizational strategic objectives.
  • Plan and oversee Day Treatment (DT) programs, including curriculum development, processes, timelines, and milestones.
  • Assist in developing and implementing specialized clinical programs, including manualized treatments and specialized curriculum to meet participant needs.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Bridge clinical program integrating mental health and family therapy services.
  • Participate in program leadership meetings and implement decisions made by administration.
  • Conduct client assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and coordinate implementation of services.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy services as needed.
  • Facilitate group sessions focused on mental health topics such as coping skills, stress management, mindfulness, and psychoeducation.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and behavioral management strategies.
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and report progress to the multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of DSM-related behavioral dysfunction and structured clinical assessment tools (e.g., psychological symptom measures, functional behavior assessments, family functioning, and academic achievement).
  • Coordinate, consult, and collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure continuity of care across services, including schools, wraparound services, IOP, mobile crisis, partial programs, group homes, and outpatient providers.
  • Provide behavioral management education and consultation to clients, families, and significant others.
  • Partner with referral sources and external collaborators regarding client referrals and service coordination.
  • Maintain regular communication with multidisciplinary staff and participate in case consultations and team meetings.
  • Review treatment plans, progress notes, court reports, and clinical records to ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, attendance, and program outcomes.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation reflects best practices and is audit/inspection ready.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision, mentorship, and competency development for direct reports and student interns (when applicable).
  • Monitor group dynamics and maintain a safe, respectful therapeutic environment.
  • Identify program improvement opportunities and collaborate with leadership to implement enhancements.
  • Provide school-based therapy services for youth ages 5–17.
  • Maintain a consistent weekly schedule within school settings.
