About The Position

A RARE CAREER OPPORTUNITY Our World Class GM Technician is retiring after 48 years, and we are searching nationwide for the right technician to step into this critical role . This position is more than a typical technician job. You will serve as the lead diagnostic technician in our GM service department , handling complex vehicle issues, supporting the service team, and helping maintain the high standards our customers expect. If you enjoy solving difficult problems, working with modern diagnostic tools, and being the technician the shop relies on when things get challenging, this is the opportunity for you. Relocation Assistance Available + $10,000 up front bonus! Pay: $40-$60+ Flat Rate Hour Annual Potential: $90,000 - $140,000+ (depending on production) Sign-on Bonus: Up to 10,000 for qualified candidates Relocation Assistance: Available for the right candidate WHAT YOU WILL DO Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on GM vehicles Troubleshoot complex electrical, drivability, and communication issues Diagnose engines, transmissions, driveline, and electronic systems Work with factory diagnostic systems including GDS2 and Techline Connect Handle the shop's most difficult problem vehicles Assist with mentoring technicians and apprentices when needed Maintain accurate repair documentation and warranty compliance QUALIFICATIONS GM World Class Technician certification preferred GM Master Technician certification considered ASE certifications strongly preferred 7+ years dealership experience with GM brands Strong electrical and drivability diagnostic experience Duramax diesel experience is a plus Leadership mindset and ability to support the shop Valid driver's license WHAT WE OFFER Top-tier flat rate pay structure Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus Relocation assistance available Guaranteed hours during ramp-up Paid GM factory training and certifications Health, dental, and vision insurance 401k with company match Paid vacation and holidays Modern diagnostic equipment and service facility Stable workflow and strong customer base Markley Motors has been serving Northern Colorado since 1936, making us the oldest family-owned and operated dealership in Fort Collins. now in our fourth generation of ownership, Markley has built its reputation on long term relationships with customers and employees.
