About The Position

Lead the digital modernization of RBC's Internal Audit platform, AuditSphere, as a technical leader within Global Functions Technology (GFT). You will direct a team of full stack developers through a comprehensive digital modernization initiative, leveraging both technical skills and strategic program delivery expertise to drive innovation across the platform.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a development team leadership or technical oversight role. Ideally with experience in large end-to-end implementation programs.
  • 3+ years proficiency with front-end UI frameworks (Vue, React or Angular) and Node.js
  • 5+ years of database design expertise (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Proven expertise in API architecture, cloud-native development (Azure/OCP/Docker), and build of CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on proficiency with AI-driven development tools (CoPilot, Windsurf)

Responsibilities

  • Direct and mentor a team of full stack developers, fostering technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving
  • Establish and oversee technical architecture and design principles to ensure scalable, future-proof solutions
  • Demonstrate proficiency in managing cross-team code integration and GitHub workflows within a monorepo architecture, with proven experience resolving merge conflicts to support concurrent project deliverables
  • Oversee delivery implementations leveraging modern frameworks and technologies
  • Maintain rigorous standards for code quality, system performance, scalability, and user responsiveness
  • Drive continuous improvement through design reviews, code reviews, retrospectives, and knowledge sharing
  • Integrate artificial intelligence and generative AI tooling into the development workflows to accelerate productivity
  • Collaborate effectively across Internal Audit stakeholders and development teams to deliver digital features, enhancements, and resolutions
  • Play key role in post-implementation retrospectives to iterate and improve the delivery processes
  • Champion best practices in platform capabilities, security, and performance optimization
