  • Strong hands-on experience with Next.js for frontend development.
  • Deep working knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Solid experience with Git, including branching strategies and leading collaborative development workflows.
  • Proven experience designing and operating within a microservices architecture, including service boundaries and inter-service communication.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration in production environments.
  • Comfortable operating in and troubleshooting within a Linux environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to make and communicate architectural and technical trade-off decisions.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience guiding, mentoring, and growing a team of developers.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability, balancing technical excellence with delivery timelines.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to stay hands-on while leading others.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and keep the team focused in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and additional containerization tooling (e.g., Docker).
  • Prior experience as a technical lead, team lead, or engineering manager in a full stack environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of full stack developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and hands-on support.
  • Architect, design, and hands-on build full stack applications using C# (.NET) and/or Java (Spring Boot) for backend services and Next.js for the frontend.
  • Own technical decision-making for services within the microservices architecture, ensuring consistency, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Guide the design and optimization of PostgreSQL data models, queries, and performance across services.
  • Drive best practices for containerized deployments and orchestration using Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Set and enforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, Git workflows, and code review practices.
  • Champion observability practices using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki to proactively monitor system health and performance.
  • Break down complex requirements into technical designs and actionable tasks and support sprint planning and estimation.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for the team, collaborating closely with product managers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify technical risks and bottlenecks early, and drive resolution across the team.
  • Own critical production issues end to end, leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis when needed.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and the technical growth of team members.
  • Continuously evaluate and evolve the technology stack, tooling, and engineering processes.

Benefits

  • A technical leadership role with real ownership over architecture, standards, and team growth.
  • The opportunity to remain hands-on while shaping the direction of a modern microservices-based platform.
  • A collaborative engineering culture with strong support for professional growth.
  • Exposure to a diverse and modern technology stack across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
