About The Position

Serves as a single point of contact to assist members with their financial service needs. Conducts financial transactions, explains services, sets up new accounts, responds to problems, assists other FSRs to find resolutions, provides assistance to manager(s), cross sells credit union services, and participates in the credit union's financial service representative training program. Provides excellent service to members. Assists members with financial transactions, opening and closing accounts, answering questions about products and services, resolve problems within authority, other member service duties, assists manager(s) with daily branch operations, assists with branch schedule, participates in the credit union's financial service representative training program. Provides excellent service to members. Monitor and review all new online membership applications and complete in timely manner. Serves as a liaison between the credit union and the member, provides education on credit union products and services, identifies cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members. Serves as a support to other FSRs if absence of manager(s). Assists in training new employees at branch and/or training other FSRs. Participates in the credit union's Financial Service Representative training program. Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job.
  • Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • The role requires a significant level of trust or diplomacy.
  • Working knowledge of principles and processes for providing member and personal services.
  • Actively looks for ways to help people.
  • Communicates information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Working knowledge of related computer systems and applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Loan processing highly recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all duties of the Financial Service Representative 1-2 and Lead teller.
