About The Position

The Lead Food Services Team Member provides operational support to the restaurant management team. The position supervises restaurant activities during non-peak service hours and at other times as needed, provides direction to team members during shifts, and works hourly positions. The role helps ensure restaurant standards, hospitality and speed of service, food safety, cleanliness, cash handling, staffing practices, and marketing execution are maintained in accordance with Brand and Pilot Travel Centers (PTC) policies and processes.

Responsibilities

Maintain Brand and PTC restaurant operational standards.
Execute the shift plan and follow up on assigned tasks.
Assist the management team and work hourly positions.
Monitor food preparation, register procedures, and cash-handling policies and processes.
Meet hospitality and Speed of Service (SOS) goals according to Brand and PTC hospitality standards.
Provide direction to team members during shifts.
Ensure restaurant cleaning processes and methods are followed.
Monitor labor usage and break policies according to Blue Cube.
Follow restaurant plans and objectives set by the Restaurant General Manager.
Assist with training and cross-training team members as directed.
Follow Brand and PTC processes and policies.
Maintain safe working conditions by following safety and security policies and processes.
Ensure team members follow Brand and PTC dress code standards.
Follow Brand maintenance processes and methods.
Advise the Restaurant General Manager about performance or discipline problems.
Ensure acceptable execution of suggestive selling, product, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
Ensure compliance with Brand and PTC marketing requirements and that products are available and fresh.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
