About The Position
The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) located at the Asheville, NC, VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time Lead Food Service Worker to provide quality service to our nation's veterans. This role offers a better work-life balance within an organization that prioritizes veterans.
Requirements
- Resumes cannot exceed 2 pages in length, or they will be disqualified.
Responsibilities
- Ordering food and supplies
- Covering all different stations as needed to ensure a smooth-running department and cover breaks
- Keeping food storage areas clean and organized per sanitation standards
- Receiving/inventorying/ordering food orders and putting them away timely per VCS standards
- Working with staff to ensure all sanitation standards are met and documented properly daily on production sheets and other logs per VCS sanitation standards
- Leading FSW staff with enthusiasm and great customer service
- Subject to hot and cold temperatures
