About The Position

Green Bay Converting is hiring a Lead Folder Operator to set up and operate high-speed folding equipment, preferably Bretting, in an in-person manufacturing facility. The role leads the crew on shift, supports training, and helps improve operating performance, quality, uptime, and safety. The listed pay is $30–$33 per hour: $30 base pay plus up to $3 per hour in bonus each pay period when production goals are met. The schedule is a 24/5 or 24/4 rotation.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience operating folding machines; folding machine experience is required.
Experience running high-speed folding equipment for tissue, towel, or napkin products.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify and quickly resolve problems.
Ability to read specifications and maintain product to target.
Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work well as a team member.
Willingness to train others and help improve performance.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating Bretting folding equipment; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate a high-speed folder, such as a Bretting machine, to meet speed, quality, and uptime targets.
Perform quick, accurate changeovers, including fold, count, and sheet-size changes.
Monitor product quality, adjust machine settings, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Serve as the go-to person on the line when problems arise.
Lead the crew on shift, keep the line moving, and set an example for operators.
Train new and current operators and verify that they are ready to operate independently.
Write and improve standard procedures and training materials.
Identify recurring issues and help reduce downtime, waste, and changeover time.
Follow safety requirements, including lockout/tagout and company policies, and keep the work area clean.
