About The Position

Sizemore, Inc. is seeking a Lead Floor Tech for their Augusta Division. This role is responsible for the maintenance of all floor areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. The position involves general cleanup, routine upkeep of exterior and interior areas, completing non-routine cleaning, managing garbage and recycling, handling emergency cleaning requests, and ensuring proper chemical labeling and storage. The Lead Floor Tech will also maintain good communication with management, ensure restrooms and break areas are stocked, obtain job requests, follow safety regulations, and represent Sizemore, Inc. professionally. Additionally, they will maintain documentation of chemical, supply, and equipment usage. Floor care duties include cleaning various flooring surfaces, stripping and waxing floors, moving furniture, ensuring proper chemical use, and maintaining flooring equipment and specialized equipment in safe and operable condition. When floor work is not scheduled, the associate will be assigned other janitorial duties.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE FLOOR CARE EXPERIENCE: SCRUBBING, BUFFING, WAXING, AND STRIPPPING FLOORS TO BE CONSIDERED.
  • MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE & CLEAN MVR.
  • MUST HAVE AVAILABILITY TO WORK THE OCCASIONAL WEEKEND.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have dependable transportation.
  • Must submit to and pass required drug screen and background.
  • Have 2 + years janitorial experience.
  • Be able to work the day shift/nights/weekends as well as extra hours that could be required from time to time.
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Capacity to take direction, ability to work well under minimal supervision.
  • Be able to work in harmony with others.
  • Must possess great problem-solving skills and be a self-starter.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background, a clean MVR check (if driving), and employment verification.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random employment drug screens.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleanup of all areas of the building as directed.
  • Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and interior areas.
  • Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders.
  • Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pickup.
  • Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
  • Responsible for ensuring all chemicals are labeled and properly stored.
  • Responsible for maintaining good verbal and written communication with management.
  • Ensure all restrooms and break areas are properly maintained and stocked with the necessary paper products and chemicals.
  • Obtains complete and accurate job request from management and clients.
  • Follows and communicates all safety rules and regulations.
  • Represent Sizemore, Inc. in a professional role.
  • Maintains documentation of account(s) usage of chemicals, supplies, and equipment to ensure safe use of each.
  • Cleaning various flooring surfaces including vacuuming with a push vacuum/backpack vacuum (9-12 lbs.) sweeping, mopping and scrubbing.
  • Strip and wax various flooring surfaces.
  • Moving furniture as needed to access flooring surfaces.
  • Ensure proper labeling and use of all cleaning chemicals available.
  • Maintains flooring equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
  • Operates specialized equipment as needed.
  • Fill-in and/or maintain floors, pull trash, clean windows, etc. when no floor work is scheduled.
