About The Position

The Nurturing Nook in Fox Point is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Qualified Floater Teacher to support all age groups, Infants-PreK. This role involves assisting lead teachers with classroom activities, implementing developmental programs, maintaining a safe environment, and establishing professional relationships with families. The position requires a positive attitude and a love for working with children in a fun and professional environment.

Requirements

High school diploma OR GED
Ability to pass all background checks

Nice To Haves

Level 6 or higher on the WI Registry preferred

Responsibilities

Assist the lead teachers with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
