About The Position

Elite Fire Services is seeking a Lead Fire Sprinkler Technician for its Fire Sprinkler Department. This role involves servicing, inspecting, and repairing sprinkler systems for established customers on a scheduled basis, with an on-call rotation requirement. The company has been providing fire protection and life safety solutions in the Columbus and Cincinnati regions of Ohio for over 30 years, with locations in Columbus and Blanchester. They offer end-to-end services including inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and installation of various fire safety systems.

Requirements

A current valid driver's license with 3 or less points.
Three years of licensed driving experience.
Two or more years inspecting and repairing fire sprinkler systems.
Knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes.
Comfortable working on ladders 6 to 12ft and on lifts.
Able to lift up to 70lbs, to work overhead and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
Well organized and able to keep track of service tickets and process all required documents for each service performed.

Nice To Haves

Willing to become or currently NICET certified in Inspection and Testing of Water Based Systems.
Performing Fire Pump Flow Tests preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct Service Calls, performing onsite emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customer's fire sprinkler systems.
Identify code issues and non-conformance issues.
Interpret and apply NFPA 25 codes during testing and inspections.
Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely service tickets and reports.
Communicate with customers to explain work being done and necessary repairs.
