POSITION SUMMARY The Lead Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for directing and performing the installation, programming, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. This role ensures all systems are installed accurately, function safely, and operate as designed while meeting all applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards. The Lead Technician provides oversight and guidance to team members, troubleshoots system issues, and verifies compliance through thorough testing and evaluation to ensure optimal performance and life safety protection. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / OBJECTIVES Ensure fire alarm systems are installed, programmed, inspected, and serviced to meet all applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements. Lead and support all phases of fire alarm work, including installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Drive system reliability and performance by identifying issues, implementing corrective actions, and verifying proper system operation. Oversee project execution to ensure work is completed on time, within scope, and to quality expectations. Maintain a high level of compliance with local, state, and national fire and life safety regulations. Provide leadership and guidance to technicians, fostering strong team performance, accountability, and skill development. Deliver excellent customer service by communicating clearly, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring client satisfaction. Demonstrate flexibility and a hands-on approach by actively participating in all aspects of fire alarm work as needed. Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and service quality.
