About The Position

Specialty Millwork and Fixture Installation Contractor seeking Career Minded Lead Finish Carpenters who can perform in a diverse range of situations overseeing and installing cabinets, casework, wall panels, column wraps, millwork and standing and running trim in commercial and retail environments.

Requirements

  • High School, Trade School or Equivalent education.
  • Five years installation and Commercial or Retail finish carpentry experience.
  • One year minimum supervisory experience.
  • Undergo pre-employment DRUG SCREENING, CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK and MVR screening for approved driving status.
  • Complete a Company Sponsored CPR/First Aid Training course online.
  • Available to work overtime as needed.
  • Flexible to work non-conventional shifts if needed (overnight projects may occur).
  • Able to travel from home for durations of 2-8 weeks.
  • Provide your basic hand tools and cordless drill.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings, shop drawings and floorplans, woodworking tools.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Aerial lift certification.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and motivating others.
  • Interacting professionally with clients, general contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Clearly and effectively communicating with Project Management Team.
  • Personnel management of various crews ranging from 3-8 people.
  • Interpreting layouts for millwork, fixtures and other elements.
  • Evaluating site conditions, construction and delivery schedules.
  • Identifying non-contract scope and generating added work changes if necessary.
  • Receiving, staging and managing inventory of millwork and fixture parts.
  • Performing all tasks of a working carpenter including installation of cabinets, countertops, standing and running trim (base, chair rail, crown moldings, door and window casings), scribing, coping, installing wall panel systems, retail fixtures etc.
  • Submitting time sheets, expense reports, daily reports and progress photos electronically.
  • Supporting a strong commitment to site safety.
