About the Role: Provide financial support to Dyson’s US logistics and supply chain operations: Key finance business partner for US logistics functions. Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and planning teams to develop cost forecasts, logistics budgets, and operational plans. Prepare, analyze, and communicate logistics cost reports, including commentary and insights for the leadership team. Lead or support monthly close processes related to supply chain: costing of shipments, inventory valuation, and freight expense allocation. Monitor and report on key logistics KPIs (inventory turns, transportation spend, warehousing cost per unit). Work with logistics and supply chain teams to evaluate new projects and model their financial impact. Support implementation and continuous improvement of planning tools, systems, and financial processes for logistics. Manage Logistics Budgeting & Forecasting Own the development of logistics and supply chain budgets and regular re-forecasting. Support partners and Sr. Finance Manager with various adhoc analysis Analyze logistics plans to ensure efficiency and alignment with corporate cost objectives. High level of accuracy in understanding logistics costs in the P&L and ensuring alignment with reporting. Analyze Initiatives & Cost Investments Partner with operations and supply chain teams to evaluate ROI and efficiency of logistics investments. Prepare financial analyses of outsourcing vs. insourcing, network optimization, and major projects. Provide recommendations and secure approval for significant logistics investments. Ensure forecasts and accruals for logistics costs are accurate and timely. Deliver detailed variance analysis vs. expectation and explain drivers to management. Own post-implementation review of logistics initiatives for continuous improvement. Special Projects and Ad Hoc Analysis Identify and investigate logistics cost drivers and opportunities for savings. Develop robust financial models to help manage the complexity of the US logistics and supply chain environment. Tackle new projects or responsibilities as required, aligned to the purpose of the role. Champion process improvement and bring a continuous improvement mindset. Identify risks and develop solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field.
  • 4+ years in a Financial Analyst role, preferably with logistics, supply chain, or operations finance experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
  • Track record of handling complex budgeting and forecasting challenges.
  • Experience partnering with operational teams and influencing business decisions with financial insight.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and strong competence in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare, analyze, and present financial data clearly.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to collaborate and challenge senior leaders with confidence.
  • Effective project management fundamentals.
  • Adaptable and flexible—able to manage multiple priorities across business functions.
