About The Position

This role is crucial for supporting informed decision-making and driving financial performance for Digital, Central Operations, and company-wide fixed cost reporting. The Lead Financial Analyst will be responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, strategic planning, business partnering, and process improvement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to join Daikin Applied and contribute to an environment driven by innovation and excellence. The position is based in Plymouth, MN, with a hybrid work model requiring 3 days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance or Accounting, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to synthesize complex data, identify trends, evaluate alternatives, and develop recommendations that support informed business decisions.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Effectiveness: Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally, build strong relationships, collaborate across functions, and effectively present financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Business Acumen & Decision Making: Strong understanding of business operations and financial drivers, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, support strategic objectives, and contribute to profitable business outcomes.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Focus: Proven ability to support internal customers, manage priorities effectively, respond to business needs, and deliver on commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual budgeting process and develop periodic financial forecasts.
  • Review actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior periods to identify trends and variances.
  • Develop financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business planning, investment decisions, and scenario analysis.
  • Translate financial data into actionable recommendations that support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Investigate significant revenue, expense, margin, and cash-flow variances and communicate key drivers.
  • Work with department heads to develop budgets, monitor spending, and improve financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting, reporting, planning processes, and financial systems.
