Job Description The Lead Financial Analyst - Logistics role provides comprehensive financial analysis, planning, and forecasting related to freight, duty, brokerage, warehouse and tariff spend. You will lead continuous improvement, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver insightful updates. You will track and interpret important logistics performance metrics to support strategic decision-making and cost-optimization projects. You will help strengthen financial visibility across global logistics and ensuring cost management. You will lead month-end close activities, including preparation and management of freight and duty accruals. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards. You will report to our Senior Finance Manager - ISC.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • BS or BA in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in Finance or Accounting within financial planning and analysis
  • Experience communicating the business reasons for financial results
  • Customer-focused, with a interest in understanding the strategy and priorities of the departments that they support
  • Experience with accounting and financial reporting concepts
  • Experience leading standardization efforts
  • Experience exploring data, challenging assumptions, and looking for deeper insights to improve financial clarity

Responsibilities

  • Lead month end activities related freight and duties, transfer price adjustments related to duties, and warehousing spend, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations to guide next steps
  • Manage tracking of tariff costs including actuals, forecasting and risk
  • Drive continuous forecast process improvements with identifying cost drivers and coordinating inputs and related templates
  • Develop annual operating plan (AOP) which includes setting freight and duty rates in the annual cost roll process impacting business unit margins and logistics absorption
  • Track key logistics metrics and partner with logistics team and leadership to drive improvements
  • Provide financial approval and consultation for productivity project tracking and reporting to leadership
  • Provided financial analysis for the Request for Proposal process of the Third Party Logistics Provider at the Indianapolis Distribution Center along with continued tracking and cost comparisons of Rockwell's Distribution centers including cost per line analysis and productivity calculations
  • Finance support for Cass Freight Audit and Payment provider transition and Transportation Management System implementation
