About The Position

Miller Retirement Group, with a location in Topeka, KS is a growing financial services firm that specializes in helping individuals nearing or in retirement protect and grow their wealth. Our advisors focus on retirement income planning, tax strategies, wealth management, and legacy planning. As our firm continues to expand, we are excited to add a motivated Lead Financial Advisor to our team! In this role you will provide expert guidance to clients, helping them achieve their financial goals through tailored investment strategies. You will build meaningful relationships and deliver high-quality service in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ years experience
  • License to sell securities preferred, including but not limited to series 65, 63, 66
  • Skilled in building strong, trust-based relationships with clients by providing attentive, personalized service and guidance
  • Demonstrates proficiency and confidence working across various platforms and operating systems
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills by efficiently managing multiple client requests and prioritizing time sensitive tasks
  • Excellent communication; written and verbal
  • Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Demonstrates strong integrity and a commitment to ethical conduct, especially when handling confidential client information and financial matters

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience within the financial industry
  • Additional financial designations like CFP, RICP, RMA, or similar designations

Responsibilities

  • Develop personalized financial plans tailored to client needs
  • Manage client portfolios, ensuring alignment with their long-term wealth management objectives
  • Advise clients on cash management, asset allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Effectively convert qualified prospects into clients through consultative sales and relationship-building
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis using advanced financial software and research tools
  • Support sales efforts by presenting financial products and services that meet client needs
  • Stay informed about market trends and conduct research to inform strategic planning decisions
  • Maintain and update client information using the firm’s CRM system (Redtail)
  • Confidence to speak publicly and lead seminars and workshops

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $60,000-$75,000 during training, depending on experience. After completion, transition to a full commission structure with earning potential that could exceed $200,000/year.
