About The Position

This role is responsible for designing and implementing effective internal controls to ensure accurate and reliable data. The specialist will handle communication with colleagues and the business regarding complex problem-solving approaches and methods. Key responsibilities include documenting SOPs and control frameworks for CSRD, ISSB, EU Taxonomy, and GHG reporting. The role involves collaboration with Sustainability, Controllership, and FP&A teams to drive efficiencies and eliminate redundant work. Additionally, the specialist will account for U.S. federal funding on R&D projects, assist in formulating processes and controls for emissions and sustainability data, and support audit and compliance requirements for emissions accounting and reporting, including resolving audit findings.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Be a subject matter expert in financial disclosures, auditing, consulting or other relevant financial or operational experience.
  • Have compelling technical, analytical and decision-making skills with an ability to interpret and summarize information.
  • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences.
  • Be able to prioritize workflow to meet critical deadlines and pay exceptionally close attention to detail.
  • Have effective problem identification and solution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing internal controls that are effective, efficient, and properly administered in order to deliver accurate and reliable data.
  • Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems.
  • Documenting SOP’s and control framework covering aspects of CSRD, ISSB, EU Taxonomy, and GHG reporting.
  • Collaborating between key stakeholders of the Sustainability, Controllership, and FP&A teams to drive efficiencies and eliminate duplicative/unnecessary work.
  • Work with the business to account for U.S. federal funding on Research & Development projects.
  • Collaborating with teams to help deliver the formulation of processes/controls as it relates to various emissions, sustainability data, and metrics to ensure consistency across our reporting landscape.
  • Supporting audit and compliance requirements for emissions accounting and reporting. Ensuring (where appropriate) the resolution of any audit findings.
