MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Field IT Support Technician to join our team in Springfield, VA. This position will be relocated to Herndon, VA by the end of 2025/early 2026. In this role, you will provide on-site customer support, troubleshoot and repair printers, VTC systems, and VoIP phones, and manage service requests while ensuring proper equipment and supply maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 11+ years of experience, or an Associate's Degree with 9+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with the ability to diagnose, repair, maintain hardware and peripherals directly related to computers.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in basic electronics, with experience performing testing, troubleshooting and assembly of computer equipment.
  • Direct experience working in a Personal Computer Repair Lab (PCRL) environment, performing hands-on diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and preparation of PCs, laptops, and related hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability managing teams with a diverse range of skillsets in direct support to customer.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with basic DOS commands.
  • Experience configuring Cisco switches and routers.
  • Ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to quickly learn new skills while on the job
  • CompTIA A+ Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of technicians in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing printers, VTC systems, and VoIP phones, including on-site support at customer locations.
  • Process and resolve service requests, Category II tickets, and backorders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform biannual wall-to-wall inventory and maintain accurate stock levels of parts, supplies, and tools.
  • Communicate supply and tool requirements to the shop lead while adhering to all safety and security procedures.
  • Configure and support networked devices by applying knowledge of IPv4, web-based setup tools, technical manuals, and common software applications.
  • Local travel may be required between customer buildings or temporary assignment to an alternate location in support of special projects.
  • Work as part of a team operating between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, ensuring 8 hour shift coverage within the required hours.
  • Performing HR duties as assigned, including but not limited to: interviewing, hiring, career enablement, performance counseling, compensation planning, and requisition creation.
