About The Position

The Full-time Information Technology and Computer Science Faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in information technology courses, supporting student learning, and contributing to academic standards within the department. This role includes teaching two to three courses as assigned, supporting course development, participating in curriculum revision, and engaging in institutional effectiveness activities to promote student achievement and program quality.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of college-level teaching experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis concepts and tools
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and instructional use
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and academic communication
  • Experience using LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle) and instructional technology

  • Doctorate degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Teach 2-3 IT courses as assigned and deliver outcomes-aligned instruction.
  • Provide timely feedback, respond to inquiries, and monitor student academic progress.
  • Assist with course revision to maintain academic relevance and alignment.
  • Provide data analysis using Excel or other analytical tools to generate reports.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on student performance, faculty assignments, and course effectiveness.
  • Respond to academic inquiries, assist faculty with course-related tasks, and support student academic monitoring.
  • Work with other departments to ensure consistency in academic standards.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and academic management systems (e.g., Moodle, SONIS) for scheduling and reporting.
  • Office-based role requiring availability for on-campus and online meetings to address faculty and student concerns.
