About The Position

As an R&O Maintenance Technician here at Solstice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and operational efficiency of our equipment and systems. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety and performance in our operations. You will report directly to our Maintenance Manager, and you’ll work out of our Metropolis, IL location. In this role, you will impact the success of Solstice Advanced Materials by ensuring that maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and effectively, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide insight on shortfalls or needs for improved preventative maintenance plans.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment performance.
• Review and ensure accurate depictions of plant downtime with Maintenance / Reliability
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
• Offering insight and improvements to those practices back to your planners, engineers and operations teams
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations
• Assist Maintenance, Technical and Operations in continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead shift or off shift initiatives such as Plant washout.
