About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of housekeeping, laundry, and linen tasks, requiring strong supervisory skills. The Lead EVS Tech will effectively supervise a staff of 25 or more employees, providing leadership, direction, and equity in dealing with all employees. This position fosters an effective and cohesive working relationship with department employees, Department Heads, all hospital staff, and the public. The Lead EVS Tech ensures regulatory compliance for sanitation for patients, guests, and employees, and ensures that public areas are appropriately sanitized to project a strong, positive image. Responsibilities include generating pertinent policy and procedure to ensure compliance with infection control and sanitation standards, coordinating rental linen and uniform efforts, providing multi-disciplinary support services, and participating in employee awareness and education.

Requirements

A minimum of 1-year Housekeeping experience in hospital setting.
Familiarity with chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Joint Commission requirements, preferred.
