About The Position

This is a full-time position at Corona Regional Medical Center Hospital located in Corona, Ca. Reporting to the Director of Patient Access Services, this position acts as a liaison between registration staff and the Supervisor/Manager. The role involves reporting to the Supervisor regarding the progress and capabilities of personnel, providing direction to staff on day-to-day functions to ensure smooth team operations, and assigning work to staff as needed. Additionally, the position includes training staff on system and registration functions and assisting in the development of policies and procedures. Corona Regional Medical Center, established in 1965, is a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs over 1,250 healthcare workers, and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing over 40 specialties.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact diplomatically and to maintain a professional demeanor with physicians, the public and hospital staff at all times.
  • Ability to discuss personal and financial matters with patients and/or their representatives.
  • Good problem solving and process efficiency skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance benefits, covered services, billing, and collection procedures for all government and non-government insurance programs and comical programs for acute facilities.
  • General knowledge of office procedures and ability to utilize resource in an organized manner.
  • Type 35-40 words per minute.
  • Use of computer keyboard.
  • Ability to use 10 key calculator.
  • One year experience in a hospital admitting or medical business office.
  • High School diploma required
