Lead Environmental Services Technician - Full Time Evenings
About The Position

This role involves assisting managers with daily operational housekeeping activities and monitoring cleanliness standards in a healthcare environment. The Lead Environmental Services Technician will also assist with directing employee work schedules, supervising and allocating cleaning staff for daily housekeeping activities, such as cleaning patient/resident rooms, facilities, and disposing of waste.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Work experience in environmental services is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and inventory stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts.
- Performing administrative tasks for ordering housekeeping supplies in a healthcare environment.
- Checking and maintaining equipment to ensure that it is in working order.
- Monitoring the use of cleaning agents and equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) in an appropriate way.
- Issuing keys, clean linens, cleaning supplies and equipment to cleaning staff.
- Ensuring housekeeping processes are in accordance with healthcare organization and regulatory codes.
