About The Position

NTT DATA is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to serve as the senior technical advisor for the client’s network, cloud, application, and enterprise technology strategy and design. The right candidate combines practical architecture leadership with enough engineering depth to translate mission and business needs into secure, scalable, interoperable solutions, guide technical teams, develop business cases and roadmaps, and help the client evaluate and integrate new technologies. This role does not require expertise in every cloud, platform, or tool in the environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a closely related technical field.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, at least 15 years of relevant IT architecture and engineering experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network architecture
  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting federal contracts in a technical capacity.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain SCI access

Nice To Haves

  • Architecture experience spanning several of the following: enterprise networking, hybrid or multi-cloud, identity and access management, mobility, collaboration, application integration, monitoring/logging, or automation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise architecture or solution architecture for complex, integrated IT environments.
  • Experience with cloud architecture and integration in at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience translating business and functional requirements into architecture decisions, standards, designs, and implementation guidance.
  • Experience developing business cases, technology recommendations, or ROI/alternatives analyses.
  • Working knowledge of Federal security and compliance expectations and secure-by-design architecture principles.
  • Strong stakeholder facilitation, technical writing, presentation, and decision-support skills.
  • Ability to work on-site as mission needs require and maintain the required clearance and DHS fitness determination.
  • Experience with architecture frameworks or modeling practices such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, DoDAF, or equivalent practical methods.
  • Experience supporting Federal modernization, engineering-to-operations transition, technical governance, or architecture review boards.
  • Relevant cloud, architecture, security, or networking certification.
  • Experience supporting highly regulated or classified Federal environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and maintenance of enterprise technology strategy, target architecture, architecture standards, roadmaps, taxonomies, reference patterns, and conceptual and logical designs.
  • Collaborate with Government stakeholders to identify business, functional, and technical requirements for new or enhanced enterprise capabilities.
  • Lead network, cloud, and application architecture and design efforts that integrate with the client’s enterprise environment and support mission objectives.
  • Develop or support business cases, alternatives analyses, ROI assessments, trade studies, technology evaluations, and recommendations for new technologies and services.
  • Guide development and review of System Design Documents, Detailed Design Documents, technical requirements, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and other engineering artifacts.
  • Ensure architectures address security, scalability, resiliency, interoperability, performance, flexibility, operational supportability, and alignment with client standards.
  • Work with network, cloud, security, identity, mobility, collaboration, and operations teams to resolve cross-domain design issues and transition approved solutions into production.
  • Apply Agile and Scrum practices to architecture and engineering initiatives and communicate technical recommendations clearly to both executive and engineering audiences.
  • Mentor architects and engineers and provide practical technical leadership during reviews, proofs of concept, modernization efforts, and complex issue resolution.
