About The Position
This role is for a Lead Engineer SME LDAR focused on environmental compliance inspections at an oil refinery. The position involves using air monitoring equipment, performing methane emission management, and conducting Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) inspections. The engineer will manage a project methane measurement database, maintain records of LDAR components and piping, and generate maintenance work orders. Responsibilities also include preparing reports, performing optical gas imaging inspections, and participating in safety meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Oil & Gas / Mechanical / Electrical / Environmental Engineering
- Proficiency in English, Russian Languages (Speaking, Writing)
- Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies
- Good Experience reading P&IDs and other plant plot diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Perform environmental compliance inspections at an oil refinery using air monitoring equipment, and data collectors.
- Supervise and perform Methane Emission management inspection, monitoring, and testing.
- Conduct Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) inspections using a flame ionization detector (FID).
- Manage Project Methane Measurement database in line to OMGP2 requirements.
- Maintain identification of LDAR components and piping and instrument diagrams.
- Maintain record keeping on monitoring.
- Generate maintenance work orders.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports.
- Perform optical gas imaging inspections.
- Participate in weekly compliance and safety meetings.
