About The Position

The S6W Power Plant Electrical (PPE) unit is looking for a motivated and driven person to fulfill the lead engineer position. The lead engineer position provides a growth opportunity that will develop both leadership and technical skills. S6W PPE plays an integral role in supporting the Seawolf class ships. The unit includes subject matter experts on design and operations of S6W instrumentation and control systems. The unit responsibilities include providing support to emergent fleet issues, in addition to providing technical and programmatic recommendations to improve fleet operational capabilities and service life extensions.

Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, science field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or Currently a Principal Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.
All candidates must be U.S. citizens.
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707.

Lead and execute assignments at the request of management
Facilitate a strong and productive teaming environment between other units at NNL, BPMI, and NR
