About The Position
This role focuses on the administration and development of Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud platforms, including integrations and automation. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for managing these tools, troubleshooting issues, providing technical support, and supporting migration activities. The position requires strong technical skills in Jira and Confluence, experience with APIs and integrations, and the ability to work effectively with business teams in an enterprise environment.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud administration.
- Good knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, permissions, JQL, dashboards, and automation.
- Good knowledge of Confluence spaces, permissions, templates, and page management.
- Experience with Jira REST API and webhooks.
- Knowledge of JSON, APIs, authentication, and integrations.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence Cloud migration.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience providing L2/L3 technical support.
- 5+ years of experience in Jira and Confluence administration/development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud.
- Experience supporting enterprise environments and production systems.
- Good experience working directly with business teams and customers.
- Strong ownership and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to handle multiple support and enhancement activities.

Responsibilities
- Administer Jira Cloud projects, users, groups, roles, and permissions.
- Configure workflows, issue types, custom fields, screens, schemes, and project settings.
- Create and manage JQL filters, dashboards, reports, and automation.
- Develop Jira customizations using ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud where required.
- Work with Jira REST APIs, webhooks, and integrations.
- Troubleshoot Jira configuration, automation, and integration issues.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for Jira Cloud.
- Support Jira Data Center to Cloud migration activities.
- Perform regular Jira administration, housekeeping, and platform improvements.
- Administer Confluence Cloud spaces, users, groups, and permissions.
- Create and manage spaces, pages, templates, page layouts, and permissions.
- Configure and maintain Confluence Cloud settings and user access.
- Support Confluence migrations and space-level migration activities.
- Develop solutions to improve Confluence usability and content management.
- Troubleshoot access, permission, and integration-related issues.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for Confluence Cloud.
- Perform regular administration and housekeeping activities.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and other enterprise applications.
- Work with REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, and JSON.
- Configure Jira and Confluence automation based on business requirements.
- Troubleshoot integration failures and coordinate with vendors/Atlassian Support when required.
