About The Position

As the Lead Engineer, Hybrid Cloud, you will serve as the senior hands-on technical expert responsible for engineering, implementing, and supporting hybrid and Azure-based infrastructure platforms that enable critical enterprise and manufacturing operations. You will play a key role in executing Azure solutions, supporting hybrid integrations, and ensuring cloud-connected environments remain secure, reliable, resilient, and operationally sound. Through technical leadership, collaboration, and oversight of managed service providers, you will help drive platform stability, modernization, and continuous improvement across Campbell's hybrid cloud ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 8+ years of experience engineering and supporting Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting Azure IaaS services and core Azure platform capabilities.
  • Experience integrating and supporting hybrid environments that connect on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, resolve, and lead escalations for complex production infrastructure issues.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting Azure compute, storage, networking, and platform services.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and operational best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and influence without direct people management responsibility.
  • Experience developing operational documentation, technical procedures, and infrastructure runbooks.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, plant, or operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure governance, policy management, networking constructs, and Microsoft Entra ID integrations.
  • Experience working within MSP-supported operating models, including vendor oversight and validation of delivered services.
  • Exposure to edge computing platforms and site-adjacent hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure services that enable manufacturing and plant-connected workloads.
  • Familiarity with cloud operational excellence practices, platform lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Azure certifications or other relevant cloud infrastructure certifications.
  • Experience contributing to cloud infrastructure standards, design reviews, and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior hands-on engineer for hybrid and Azure-based infrastructure solutions, implementing and supporting Azure resources and hybrid integrations.
  • Engineer, deploy, and support Azure services including virtual machines, load balancers, storage, networking components, and platform integrations.
  • Execute infrastructure solutions spanning on-premises environments, Azure cloud services, and edge-adjacent platforms.
  • Perform Azure infrastructure build activities, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and remediation efforts.
  • Support Azure provisioning requests and infrastructure changes in partnership with Cloud Architecture & Engineering, application teams, and managed service providers (MSPs).
  • Review and validate MSP-executed Azure and hybrid infrastructure changes to ensure compliance, resiliency, and operational excellence.
  • Provide technical oversight, guidance, mentorship and direction to MSP teams delivering Azure and hybrid cloud services.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex cloud, hybrid, and edge-related incidents impacting business-critical workloads.
  • Support Azure-enabled manufacturing, plant, and site-connected environments, delivering expertise for edge-integrated solutions.
  • Partner with Cloud Architecture & Engineering on infrastructure designs, standards, and technology roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with Cloud & DevOps teams to ensure alignment with established Azure standards and implementation practices.
  • Work closely with Network Services and Security teams to support connectivity, governance, and risk management initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, support procedures, and technical runbooks.
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency while reducing technical debt.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives using tools such as PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to infrastructure standards and best practices.
