Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent discipline
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in substation engineering projects
  • Strong expertise in high- and medium-voltage substations, including AIS, GIS, and BESS
  • Experience with renewable energy systems such as PV, wind, energy storage, and grid interconnection
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC, IEC, IEEE, and NFPA codes and standards
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, PVSyst, Helioscope, Revit, and SCADA systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical decisions
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality, safety, and execution
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all engineering activities across proposal, design, and execution phases
  • Manage internal engineering teams and outsourced engineering partners to deliver complete scopes of work
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with project contracts, customer requirements, and applicable codes and standards
  • Develop, maintain, and control engineering schedules to support on-time project delivery
  • Own and manage engineering documentation and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and review design criteria, single-line diagrams, layout drawings, calculations, and equipment specifications
  • Drive value engineering and cost-reduction initiatives without compromising safety or performance
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor technical bids and support contract award decisions
  • Review and approve internal and external design packages for accuracy, constructability, and compliance
  • Monitor vendor performance and witness factory acceptance testing
  • Support procurement activities, scope management, change orders, and schedule updates
  • Resolve engineering issues, site queries, and non-conformances to avoid delays and rework
  • Lead technical discussions with clients, utilities, and stakeholders and secure engineering approvals
  • Ensure all engineering activities meet Linxon safety, quality, and performance standards
