About The Position

This role requires a Lead Engineer with expertise in Electrical and Electronics (E&E) vehicle system integration. The engineer will be responsible for leading design engineers and cross-functional teams to realize E&E features with a focus on quality, cost, and time. Key responsibilities include evaluating designs for compliance with standards and regulations, analyzing field failures, and managing project deliverables. The role also involves conducting internal meetings, preparing presentations for management, and ensuring the resolution of software issues during validation and manufacturing.

Requirements

  • 7-8 Years of experience
  • BE/B Tech Electrical Engineering or BE/B Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Very good knowledge in Vehicle electronics & In Vehicle networking systems - Infotainment, Body control module, ADAS system, Radars, Parking sensor, Airbag, ECU architecture, Software architecture.
  • Knowledge on Electrical and E&E aggregates in the vehicle - Distribution system, Sensors & Actuators, Starting & Charging system, Lighting system, Switches.
  • Knowledge on communication protocols like LIN, CAN, CAN-FD, Flexray, DoIP and Ethernet.
  • Familiar with Functional Safety related requirements in Architecture and related standards & processes.
  • Basic knowledge in CAD tools - preferably CATIA.
  • Awareness of vehicle schematic design tools and Wire harness tools Capital Tools (Capital Logic, Harness XC).

Responsibilities

  • Be well versed with Electrical and Electronics vehicle system integration such as Infotainment & Telematics, Rotating machines, Electric vehicle architecture, Display system (Digital Instrument cluster), Body electronics, Wiring harness, and ECU architecture.
  • Initiate, interact with CFT, and lead design engineers for system integration to realize required E&E features with Quality, Cost, and Time.
  • Evaluate existing and new designs for compliance to internal and external standards and review designs for various governmental regulation compliance.
  • Review with Internal as well as external stakeholders for deliveries as per project time plan. Internal stakeholders include ECU owner, CME, manufacturing, plant engineering, launch team, PE & project team & EOL suppliers.
  • Analyze in-plant/field failures, provide solutions to reduce/eliminate them, and capture these issues in upcoming products.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of problem-solving ability, especially in the field of expertise, using Quality tools, DFMEA, Design Reviews & Project management.
  • Utilize Data analytics fluently.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of ownership of projects and problem-solving ability, especially in the field of expertise, using tools used in MPDS, DFMEA, problem-solving tools and techniques, and project management tools.
  • Conduct internal meetings with a proper agenda and prepare presentations for Top Management Reviews.
  • Ensure analysis of interface issues to respective teams during validations of vehicle level/Mfg Plant level and to the ECU owners.
  • Ensure the consolidation, tracking, and resolution of Software Critical Issues arising out of validation & Manufacturing during builds.
  • Possess knowledge of Automotive ECU development and EOL Software development processes.
