About The Position

Jabil is seeking a Lead Electronic Design Engineer to drive the development of innovative electronic and power systems from concept through production. The role leads hardware design efforts, influences product architecture, solves complex technical challenges, and mentors engineers while collaborating with teams across engineering, manufacturing, and product development. The engineer leads electronic hardware development throughout the product lifecycle and designs analog, digital, mixed-signal, power, sensing, and control circuits. The role includes developing system architectures, schematics, and PCB designs; driving prototype development, testing, validation, and troubleshooting; and applying power electronics expertise to AC/DC power conversion, protection, grounding, and electrical safety. The position ensures compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements, guides power and high-voltage validation, and supports prototype builds, NPI, product launches, manufacturing release, production ramp, and production issue resolution. It also provides technical leadership on critical projects and mentors engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of electronic hardware design experience.
  • Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design, PCB development, and hardware debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with power electronics, high-voltage testing, HiPot and ground-bond testing, and product validation.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC, signal integrity, reliability, and electrical safety principles.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard design and test tools.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects and influence cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with energy, industrial, automation, power conversion, or high-reliability products.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, certification testing, and industry standards such as UL, IEC, and IEEE.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electronic hardware development across the full product lifecycle.
  • Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, power, sensing, and control circuits.
  • Develop system architectures, schematics, and PCB designs.
  • Drive prototype development, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Apply power electronics expertise in AC/DC power conversion, protection, grounding, and electrical safety.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements, including UL, IEC, IEEE, FCC, EMC/EMI, and electrical safety requirements.
  • Perform or guide power and high-voltage validation, including efficiency, power-loss, waveform, transient, thermal, and temperature-rise measurements.
  • Support prototype builds, NPI, product launch, manufacturing release, production ramp, and production issue resolution.
  • Collaborate across hardware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on critical projects.
