Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in power systems engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to travel periodically to job sites (domestic)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Must be able to pass a fit-for-duty physical exam
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • 2+ years of team leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform fieldwork when required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of electrical engineers, providing technical direction and career development support.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering projects, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
  • Perform or oversee: Power systems analysis and design for utility and industrial applications, Protective relaying system design and integration (SEL, GE, Siemens, Schneider), Substation automation (RTAC, RTU, HMI, and related communication protocols), Electrical drawing packages (SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, three-lines), Distribution system design and upgrade specifications (MCCs, switchgear, relays, fuses, breakers, transformers).
  • Provide QA/QC on engineering deliverables and proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, field technicians, and clients.
  • Support business development efforts by preparing technical proposals, estimates, and client presentations.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and industry standards.
