About The Position

The Lead Electrical Engineer will lead a group delivering electrical engineering work for single- and multi-discipline projects, primarily supporting nuclear power plants. The role involves investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving engineering issues; leading detailed design; coordinating with other disciplines and clients; and overseeing technical, quality, financial, and project-control performance. The position has a hybrid work arrangement: three days per week in the office and two days working remotely. The engineer will oversee electrical engineering activities such as design change packages, engineering calculations, equipment procurement specifications, and vendor bid evaluations. The role also includes developing project scopes, estimates, schedules, and proposals; coordinating deliverables and project status; mentoring group members; and identifying client needs and opportunities for follow-on work. Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group works on nuclear engineering, design, and licensing, including existing plant life extensions and digital modernization, small modular reactors, advanced reactor technology, reactor restarts, coal-to-nuclear initiatives, and international nuclear new-build projects.
