We’re looking for a Lead Electrical Controls Engineer with a strong background in PLC programming, automation, and control systems, along with proven experience guiding and developing engineering talent. Requirements

Experience designing, programming, and implementing control systems for industrial applications.
Hands-on experience with RSLogix, Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, or similar platforms is a must.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or comparable design software, Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook.
Proven experience leading engineers, mentoring team members, or managing technical teams.
Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and automation-related issues.
Works independently with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional presence when working with customers and internal stakeholders.
Takes accountability for team performance, project outcomes, and continuous improvement.
Comfortable remaining hands-on while leading others.

Responsibilities

Provide day to day technical leadership for electrical engineers and designers, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency across projects.
Lead the design and development of electrical control systems based on customer specifications, selecting components and defining testing methods.
Oversee development, troubleshooting, and optimization of PLC and HMI programs to ensure reliable automation performance.
Drive resolution of complex technical challenges and establish scalable, long term solutions.
Ensure all designs meet UL 508A, NEC, IEC, and internal engineering standards.
Coach and develop engineers through regular feedback, technical guidance, and career development support.
Assist in prioritization, delegation, and balancing of engineering resources across projects.
Lead Design Reviews and drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, templates, and standards.
Act as a senior technical point of contact with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver best in class solutions.
