About The Position

McKesson’s Enterprise Infrastructure & Technology Platforms (EITP) organization delivers the core technology services that support secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise operations. This includes network and telecom services, cloud and core infrastructure platforms, and endpoint technologies that enable business agility and consistent user experiences. The Lead IT Project Manager – Infrastructure Mergers & Acquisitions role is responsible for driving large, complex infrastructure initiatives tied to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. This leader partners closely with senior stakeholders, oversees cross‑domain execution, manages risk, and ensures successful delivery of strategic outcomes while strengthening overall project delivery maturity.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading IT projects or programs
  • Proven experience delivering complex, large‑scale initiatives in enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or major infrastructure transformations
  • Strong working knowledge across core infrastructure domains
  • Hands‑on experience applying Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery approaches

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience leading high‑visibility, cross‑functional programs
  • Track record of mentoring and developing project managers
  • Sound judgment and decision‑making in complex or ambiguous situations
  • Experience using enterprise project and delivery tools (e.g., Planview, Jira)
  • PMP, Prince2, or equivalent preferred
  • Agile certifications (Scrum Master, PMI‑ACP, SAFe) a plus
  • ITIL Foundation a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large, complex infrastructure M&A programs and other critical initiatives
  • Define program scope, objectives, milestones, and success measures aligned to enterprise priorities
  • Coordinate planning and execution across infrastructure domains including network/connectivity, cloud platforms, identity services, and endpoint technologies
  • Identify, track, and resolve program‑level risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as needed
  • Establish and maintain governance structures, including executive‑level reporting and communications
  • Partner with senior leaders and business stakeholders to drive alignment and informed decision‑making
  • Oversee Day 1 readiness, Day 2 transition activities, and TSA execution where applicable
  • Mentor and guide project managers, reinforcing delivery best practices and consistent methodologies
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution, tools, and delivery standards
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise delivery frameworks and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
