About The Position
Red River Human Services is seeking a dependable Full-Time Lead Direct Support Professional to teach and assist people with disabilities to be independent in their daily activities. This role involves providing different levels of support, training and oversight to other DSPs, assisting with administrative duties, and participating in on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Must be an eligible driver for RRHSF (at least 25 years old, valid driver's license, & driven for 5+ years) and have a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Be dependable, reliable, and willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Demonstrate ability to approach challenging situations with a calm approach.
Responsibilities
- Teach and assist people with disabilities to be independent in their daily activities.
- Provide different levels of support to people with disabilities to meet their needs.
- Provide training and oversight to other DSP’s.
- Attend team meetings and appointments as needed.
- Assist with personal cares.
- Assist Residential Coordinator and House Coordinator with administrative duties, including medication record audits, financial audits, data audits, and preparation of house menu and grocery list.
- Pass medications and assist with medication training of other staff.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
