Requirements

Advanced knowledge of dryer vent systems, ductwork, and airflow dynamics.
Hands-on experience with dryer vent system installation, maintenance, and cleaning.
Hands-on experience with exhaust systems and ventilation pathways.
Ability to diagnose airflow restrictions and inefficiencies.
Ability to perform full vent cleaning, rerouting, and system optimization.
Familiarity with residential and light commercial HVAC configurations.
Familiarity with split systems, rooftop systems, and duct layouts.
Expert use of rotary brush systems, vacuums, air compressors (industry standard tools).
Expert use of hand tools and power tools.
Ability to disassemble and reassemble vent systems safely.
Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Material handling and assembly skills.
Preventative maintenance practices.
Working knowledge of electrical wiring, voltage systems (low/high voltage) preferred.
Working knowledge of appliance electrical connections and safety protocols.
Ability to safely disconnect/reconnect dryer units.
Ability to identify electrical hazards during service.
Strong inspection capabilities: Identify lint buildup, blockages, improper venting, and fire hazards.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
Knowledge of building codes and ventilation compliance.
Ability to document findings and recommend corrective actions.
Ability to ensure systems meet safety and efficiency standards.
Ability to install or modify dryer vent systems (rigid, semi-rigid, flexible ducts).
Ability to work with wall/roof penetrations and sealing techniques.
Experience with construction environments and job site safety.
Comfortable with confined spaces, rooftops, and ladders.
Comfortable with heavy lifting and physically demanding work.
Experience operating service vehicles/vans (valid clean driver's license required).
Ability to work in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
Strong understanding of job estimation and project scope.
Strong customer-facing skills: Clear communication and explanation of issues/solutions.
Reliable.
Mechanically inclined.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10/30 Certification
EPA Certification (HVAC-related awareness)
Trade school or apprenticeship in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Manage your own schedule of 4–6 service calls per day.
Set up ladders, climb onto pitched roofs, work in attics, crawlspaces and behind dryers.
Communicate with homeowners, explain what you're doing and answer their questions.
Use our payroll app to clock in/out, and scheduling software to view schedules and record each job with photos and brief summaries.
Diagnose airflow and safety issues.
Perform technical cleaning and system modifications.
Handle basic electrical interactions safely.
Lead crews and manage jobs end-to-end.
Supervise and train junior technicians.
Delegate tasks and manage workflow on job sites.
Ensure quality control and adherence to service standards.
Provide service recommendations and upsell when appropriate.
Maintain professionalism in residential settings.
