About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Doc Control Specialist, Airports to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Parsons team at the McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Alcoa, TN. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in aviation or transportation infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation, contract administration, and project controls
  • Proficiency with project management and office software (Primavera, MS Project, Procore, and MS Office 365 including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and an understanding of AI prompts to help make the team more efficient
  • Skilled in technical writing for reports, recommendations, and analysis, including charting and presentation preparation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in airport/aviation construction projects
  • Working knowledge of MKAA or similar state/local agency requirements
  • PE/EIT certification or CMIT/CCM or CAPM/PMP credential or ability to achieve

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager with daily project administration
  • Review, log, and track submittments, RFIs, change orders, and contractor correspondence
  • Utilizing AI to help streamline day-to-day activities to help improve efficiency
  • Provide technical support to field staff and act as a liaison between the office and site
  • Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution
  • Classify and organize documents by type, entity, date, and status
  • Assist with writing technical reports and preparing invoices for client submission
  • Various responsibilities as needed for the benefit of the Program
