About The Position

The Lead Distribution Outfitter is responsible for training and maintaining the activities of department personnel by scheduling and assigning workflow, checking work for accuracy, and analyzing and resolving work problems. This role involves training associates, assigning duties, and monitoring activity, while maintaining open communication with leadership. The Outfitter will be cross-trained in other departments as needed and may be asked to carry out special projects. The position is for the 1st Shift, approximately a 12-hour shift from Thursday to Saturday, 5 AM to 5:30 PM.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Production standards and accuracy are especially important aspects of this position that are closely monitored.
Availability to work a flexible schedule with mandatory overtime, when scheduled.
Represents oneself as an ambassador of our company and brand.
Knowledge of safety methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

Trains and maintains activities of department personnel by scheduling and assigning workflow, checking work for accuracy, and analyzing and resolving work problems.
Trains associates, assigns duties, and monitors activity.
Maintains an open line of communication with leadership.
Cross-trained in other departments as needed and may be asked to carry out special projects.
Repetitively lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ensure associates are working in a safe manner at all times.
Ensure Housekeeping assignments are completed daily and associates maintain a clean work area throughout their day.
Ensure all associates are fully trained on procedures and equipment and have the supplies needed to effectively complete assigned tasks.
Ensure department processes and procedures are followed while adjusting labor needs to appropriately address work volumes and monitor consistent flow.
Ensure associates are leaving and returning from breaks and lunch in a timely manner.
Takes daily attendance as outfitters clock in and report absenteeism to Supervisor.
Actively participates in daily department start up meetings.
In the event of supervisor’s absence, conduct start up meeting, covering daily priorities & goals, company updates, perform stretching exercises and conclude meeting with a focus on safety.
Attends all Bass Pro provided management training classes to expand on job knowledge and growth potential.
