About The Position

This is a seasonal, part-time position at Snapdragon Stadium. The Lead Dishwasher supervises a staff of dishwashers and is responsible for all aspects of daily cleaning in kitchens, stands, and catering events. This role carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include washing dishes, taking out trash, deep cleaning equipment, cleaning walk-ins and floors, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least two years of Food & Beverage Supervisory experience required
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of health codes as they apply to food preparation
  • Strong knowledge of soaps, chemicals, sanitation techniques and ware washing procedures
  • Ability to train staff in all specific areas of stewarding
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English
  • Requires the ability to apply basic math concepts; calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, portions, percentages, and volume
  • Requires the ability to carry out general written or oral instructions
  • Must be able to multitask, prioritize work and pay attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted on a regular and continuing basis
  • Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs assisted
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning/inspection tasks
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking/moving, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • A background check will be conducted

Nice To Haves

  • Stewarding or Kitchen related experience strongly preferred
  • Food Handler certificate from the County of San Diego preferred
  • Second language in Spanish is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all ware washing equipment is in working order
  • Maintaining cleanliness in all back of the house areas including kitchens and walk-ins
  • Adhering to company sanitation procedures
  • Helping with the delivery of food for banquet events and breakdown stations for the conclusion of events
  • Driving and maintaining the kitchen recycling program
  • Guiding stewarding activities for smooth, efficient, cost-effective operation, including labor management, supervision of all aspects of work performed, and inventory control
  • Communicating daily with Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Outlet Managers regarding daily activities/functions and upcoming events
  • Maintaining control over food and beverage china, glass, silver, cookware, and service equipment inventories
  • Complying with all company policies, and federal, state, and local laws/regulations including employment, safety, and health
  • Other duties as assigned
