About The Position

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director (LD), Enterprise Strategy, to support its Health Care Delivery (HCD) business. The role supports new growth initiatives and execution of key strategic priorities, partnering closely with stakeholders across HCD, Oak Street Health, MinuteClinic, and Signify Health. The Lead Director reports to the Executive Director of Strategy for HCD and frequently partners with EVP- and SVP-level business leaders. The position involves bringing clarity to ambiguous, complex, cross-functional strategic challenges and leading high-impact strategic and operational initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The Lead Director will manage project-based contributors, with a path to formal people management. The role may be remote or hybrid and involves 10–20% travel for in-person meetings with senior leaders and strategy teams.

Requirements

Significant subject matter expertise in health care delivery.
10 years of related experience at a top management consulting firm, on an in-house strategy team at a large health care company, or in a related growth or strategy role in a health care setting.
Proven track record managing strategy-related projects and leading cross-functional teams, including external advisors, on strategy deep-dive projects.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including delivering structured presentations and preparing PowerPoint and Excel analysis.
Ability to lead a high-performing small team that provides accurate analysis and recommendations to senior leaders.
Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

Support the annual strategic planning process, including preparing materials for the CVS enterprise Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
Collaborate with executive leadership to manage strategic portfolios and develop communications for senior leaders.
Lead executive meetings, adapting in real time to drive decisions and serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.
Lead high-visibility internal strategy consulting projects, including structuring workplans, driving execution, and delivering executive-level outputs.
Direct timely, accurate analysis and develop actionable, stakeholder-sensitive recommendations.
Monitor emerging industry trends, competitor actions, and disruptive forces across HCD business areas.
Support the development and leadership of a high-performing strategy team and foster strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and innovation.
