This position is considered essential personnel and would be required to work in the event of an emergency or facility need. All SEVTC positions are required to work different shifts and/or overtime as requested. The role involves working within a person-centered educational model to provide support, educational/training, and supervision of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include managing staff assignments, ensuring shift tasks are completed efficiently, running training programs, administering medications, collecting and recording pertinent data, and completing required documentation. The position also requires contributing to and maintaining a supportive, enriching, safe, and nurturing environment for individuals with disabilities. Key duties include supporting and instructing individuals in daily living skills, monitoring leisure and recreational activities, potentially supporting individuals receiving emergency stabilization services, driving facility vans to transport individuals, responding to crises with effective management techniques, and completing special assignments as directed by supervisors. New hires must complete the facility’s pre-service training program, which includes Person Centered Approach techniques, CPR/First Aid Certification, TOVA, medication administration, nutritional management, and physical/behavioral management.
