Lead Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Merakey is seeking Lead Direct Support Professionals (LDSPs) to join their team in Redding, CA. This role involves interacting with and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings, including community, family homes, and generic community settings. The LDSP will assist with direct care and implement behavior plans, aiming to enhance the health, safety, dignity, and contentment of consumers by training them in personal care, communication, and social skill development. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a verifiable High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Nice To Haves
- Dual Diagnose experience preferred.
- Experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Responsibilities
- Interact and support individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of potential settings including community, family or individual homes and generic community settings.
- Assist with direct care.
- Implement behavior plans.
- Assist and train individuals in the areas of personal care, communication, and social skill development.
