Lead Direct Support Professional - PRN
About The Position
Merakey is seeking a Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP) to join their team in Sheridan, CA. This role involves supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings, including community, homes, and adult training facilities. The DSP will assist with direct care and implement behavior plans, aiming to enhance the health, safety, dignity, and contentment of consumers by training them in personal care, communication, and social skill development. The position offers an hourly rate of $29 - $31, with a potential increase upon obtaining RBT certification. Merakey is a non-profit provider of developmental, behavioral health, and education services.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a verifiable High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- 1 year of paid verifiable experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on behavioral services.
- Required to complete a DSP 1 and DSP 2 certification within 1 year of hire date.
- Required to complete an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification within 60 days of hire date.
